Dena was born in Honolulu HI and being in a Navy family, she grew up in such exotic places as San Diego CA, Escondido CA, Millington TN and even Guam. As an adult, Dena has lived in southern CA, northern Florida, New Orleans and also eastern Massachusetts.

 

We have both raised individual families and most of the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all reside right here in San Diego County.

We have been together in both southern California and northeastern Massachusetts for the past nineteen years and currently reside in the Escondido Condo seen in the pictures to the right.

I was born in Maine, moved to Massachusetts at age 7 and lived there until age 22. After my education at Newbury Elementary, the Governors Academy and finally the University of Maine at Orono, I went to work in Boston for Camp, Dresser & McKee Consulting Engineers. Unfortunately, this was short lived because, being the mid 60’s, Uncle Sam was drafting just about anyone who could walk. I was drafted in mid 1965 but opted to enlist for a four year hitch in the US Navy instead. After several electronics schools, I was stationed aboard the USS Saint Paul, CA-73, in San Diego CA. After three combat tours near the DMZ in So. Vietnam and also off the coast of No. Vietnam, I was discharged in 1969 and opted to stay, live and work in San Diego. I worked for 25 years in the computer and electronic medical instrument Quality Assurance field and then moved on to Computer Programming for my final 15 years. I retired in 2008 and now reside in Escondido CA.
